You Have What It Takes!
by Olivia Cagle
So many people give up! They give up on life, on creating new habits, on doing the right thing, on God, on their business, eating healthy, exercising,…you name it. Why do we give up? One of the main reasons is our belief system…we don’t believe we have what it takes.
One of the key things is that we have to know who we are! Who we are gets covered up through hurts, life experiences, how we were raised, etc. But God knit you together in your mother’s womb for a specific reason. You have gifts and talents in you that God wants you to walk in. When we walk in our giftings it blesses us and others.
I wanted to post this picture because it’s so true! We get to make the choices we want for our life. But when we don’t know who we are then we have a hard time choosing…or should I say “Believing”. What is it you believe? Do you believe you were created for success or do you believe you were created for failure? My friend…You were created for success!!!! You’ve got to start there. You’ve got to know that God’s not mad at you…He loves you No Matter What…No Matter What!
He has good plans for you…plans to prosper you and not harm you. But, I can say that all day long and if you don’t really believe it in your heart then it won’t matter much.
There’s a different between mission and vision. Mission is what will get us to where we need to go and vision will keep us there. So write out a mission…write out what you believe in and why. Then you have to visualize it…every little detail. Write out your vision and be specific. If you can impregnant yourself with the vision, you will give birth to it. Make a dream board and hang it up where you can see it.
Get rid of negative thoughts…as Joyce Meyer says “stinkin thinkin”. When a negative thought pops into your mind, give it to God, ask Him what He would have you do with it, and then replace it with a positive thought. If you can’t think of anything, I want you to start saying these things to yourself, “I’m God’s favorite, I’m special, I was created for success, God loves me, God has great plans for me, I will finish what I start, my gifts are to bless other people”. You may not believe it at first but continue to say it.
We can frame our world with our words!
Are there negative things you say to yourself over and over? What are some areas you’ve been struggling with?
