Will you ever be able to do regular core exercises if you have diastasis?

If you struggle with diastasis, chances are you want to know if you will ever be able to do regular core exercises.

I get this question a lot and the answer is yes and no.

Sit-ups…definitely not. However, I don’t think any woman should do those…it pulls on your spine. There are so many other great exercises for your core.

What about planks, well possibly. You have to modify them first and work up to it.

The main thing to know, is you have to learn how to have correct alignment and breath correctly throughout the entire exercise. Once your diastasis starts healing and you can do the above, then you can start adding in more and more exercises you love.

The great thing is, there are sooooooo many exercises you can do now and you can learn to work your core with each exercise you do.
