Is It Bloat, Mommy Tummy, or Diastasis?
by Olivia Cagle
If you have a mommy tummy that just won’t go away, you might have other things going on you don’t know about.
A lot of women just can’t seem to figure out why they can’t get rid of their mommy tummy. It might be you have diastasis. Diastasis is the separation of the left and right abdominal walls that can happen during pregnancy, although pregnancy isn’t necessarily the cause of it.
In the video below, I show you how to check and see if you might have it. This is an important thing to check because you might have other things going on, such as: pelvic organ prolapse, a hernia, leakage, or low back pain. Here’s a video I did talking about symptoms that go along with diastasis recti.
Many doctors are telling women they don’t have it when they actually do….it’s just not severe. However, if you don’t learn to correct it, it can get worse and cause other problems. Or….their doctor might tell them they have it and the only option is surgery (that IS NOT the only option).
